Three Shires Landscaping Specialists became involved in Nottingham City's Wildlife Rich project in 2021 after having been recommended. Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust said the site represented a "once-in-a-generation" opportunity to "carve out a green future" for the city. Nottingham City Council said the authority aimed to, "build a new vision" that would be green, "but also leads to jobs and housing".
In December 2020 the Wildlife Trust published its vision for the Broadmarsh site reimagined as natural Green Space. Its bold vision was inspired by the desire demonstrated by the public to access nature during lockdowns and by public calls for Green Space at the Broadmarsh.
Three Shires Landscaping planted Trees and Plants as part of the project's transformation to turn the demolished site into a natural urban oasis, and demonstrate its commitment to tackling the climate and ecological crises. Putting people and nature at the heart of Nottingham’s green ambitions.
